Course Description: 

In this two year program, students will take the Commonwealth of Virginia State Cosmetology Examination in order to become licensed practitioners.  Students gain practical experiences working in the cosmetology clinic/lab/salon on several platforms.

New Horizons alumna with 19 years of continuous industry experience. She began her career as a hairstylist and nail technician, steadily advancing through various positions in the beauty industry. Her dedication and talent eventually led her to open her own salon. After spending years behind the chair, she discovered her true passion: teaching. She has been a licensed cosmetology instructor for 13 years, with the last 5 years spent inspiring students at New Horizons & Developing Virginia’s Newest Cosmetologist. She always says, “When you truly love what you do, it never feels like work.”
