Welcome to NHREC!!! Join us for Race Night @ Langley Speedway

Posted Date: 08/24/26 (04:25 PM)

Dear NHREC Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Today, our classrooms, labs, and campuses came alive as we welcomed students back to New Horizons. It was wonderful to see the excitement of our returning students and to welcome those joining our community for the first time.

The first day of school always brings a mix of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a few nerves. As students settle into their new routines, please know that our faculty and staff are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments where every student feels supported, challenged, and valued.
At New Horizons, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Whether students are developing technical skills, preparing for college or a future career, strengthening their independence, or receiving the support they need to thrive, our goal is to help each student recognize their potential and build a pathway toward a meaningful future.

Families are an essential part of that work. We encourage you to stay connected with your student’s teachers and program leaders, celebrate their progress, and reach out whenever you have questions or need assistance. Your partnership helps us provide the strongest possible experience for every student we serve.
We also hope your family will join us for NHREC Race Night at Langley Speedway on Saturday, September 5, at 7:00 p.m. NHREC families may preregister to receive up to four free tickets. Please see the attached flyer and scan the QR code to register. We hope you will come out for a fun evening with other members of the New Horizons community as we celebrate the beginning of a great school year.

Thank you for trusting New Horizons to be part of your student’s educational journey. We are honored to serve students and families from across our region, and we look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year.

Igniting Potential. Fueling the Future.

Warmly,
Dr. Marsha Cale
Chief Executive Officer
